Aba aba

allright guys after the meet this weekned at ocean blue i saw a couple aba abas and thought to myself, wow i need one of these:ROFL:
ahha

anyway how long could i keep one of these in a 210, there about 10"-12" and i was also wondering how long before it kills everything in my tank?

it would start killing immediately.

i've heard reports of 3-5" aba abas going crazy and killing each other.

these guys are probably close to the most agressive fw fish in the world.

because these are really awsome fish and i would love to have one, but not going to sacrafice my fish for one
 
I just searched aba aba in the knifefish forum and came across his thread. He hadnt had him in there long though. I wonder if he could post some updates.
 
I had one with my polypterus a while ago. He was great until he reached the 12 inch mark. THen he started chomping on all of them.
 
I've been considering getting one of these guys myself but never seen one in the flesh. From what I gather they have very sharp teeth and can take chunks out of fish so coupled with their aggressive nature are nearly impossible to keep with others. Can anyone clarify this? And does anyone have or can take a pic of their mouths?
 
they may be fine with other equally big fish, but one day (and it will happen) it'll go crazy and start killing.

don't buy one and keep with fishes you actually like lol.

That's Steve (Dirty Evo). I think he used a different username here though. The aba aba experiment ended with a bunch of large fish being cut in half by his aba aba. He sold his aba aba to Damon (aimhigher38), who I believe keeps it by itself.
