As some of you know I picked up a male motoro this week and he is settling in nicely and eating massivore like a pig. However, last day or so I have been noticing a strange behavior from him. As you can see in the pictures he is kind up pushing himself up rounding out his disk. I don't know if this is normal or not but I just wanted to ask your opinion...

yea mine do it when eating but he was doing it a lot last night randomly with everything going on in my tank lately losing my arowana last night as well I was concerned.
My marble did that when I first got him. It may stress or something. Hopefully someone will chime in w a more concrete answer as to why.
The reason I say it may be stress is because after a few days, he came around and started eating well and stopped raising himself like that

Isn't doing it tonight but I'll keep an eye on him. At the moment he is swimming up and down the glass which I know is a good sign.
IF you just lost your ARO and don't know why... THEN you might want to check your water parameters. Have you been conditioning your water with prime or something similar? An ARO just doesnt up and die. there has to be a reason buddy
