  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
from what i heard. the ones in thailand only few of them available or nearly extinct. the ones people get are probably from different places or from locals. so even if they claim its directly from thailand its probably a fraud. if it was and directly from thailand dont you think we would have more around? im not a expertise in import and export but if they have thousands and kept in farming facilities then it wouldnt be so hard for them to export regardless of what size it is. the reason for this reply is to make sure the buyer understands the fact and not be fooled. BUT as long as they look like what they are and you love the fish it wouldnt matter. just main point of this reply is to let you know the original place they are caught from theres no more ST's. due to people catching and eating ST's over there or dying of the fishes. some people ask why are the ST's so expensive compared to other datnoids? for pros you should know why. for beginners please read above.

Fishes that are available now, soon to be, and rarely.

1. Silver datnoids- Small and Medium sizes (available like roaches)

2. Northern Thailand Tiger - Medium sizes (available)

3. All time favorite Indonesian Tigers- some available -small 4-5 inchers not so common as before. might be harder to get for some. and increase in price. Most likely not in season. (Rare nowadays or not common as it used to be)

4. New Guinea Tiger- some available in smaller size. and might be easier to get then Indonesian Tigers.(available)

5. Siamese Tiger & Controversial Tigers - very limited amount or not available in smaller sizes.
Those are the recent informations that ive recieved from "SOME not all" vendors and wholesalers. hope this helps

the reason you cant get small widebars is that they are nearly extinct and a protected species. it is possible to get them still but very hard to get

get a photo first and be aware you will brob end up with NTT or 3 bar IT

There are reports that Datnioides Pulcher from Thailand are extinct in the wild. D. Pulcher from other locales such as cambodia and Vietnam still make their rounds but just have not been to the states since 2005 and maybe some sneaking in in 2006.

Dude, I'll make another trip to chi-town for that price...Bring as much as you can and I'll buy all of them..
