i had it half way setup and more I look the more I worry and get pissed, I have the pump on, then I put the little L curved pipe to the pump that goes into canister itself. ok I have it in right(I think) but the end that goes into the canister isn't seated all the way. It is tight as i can get it and I have re-did it twice to see if i did it wrong but it is the way it is going. ok I put the piece that is used to hook up the output on. I have the output pipe in, I used those odd ass tighteners and they are tight as I can get them, but the whole tightener itself can move around the pipe, but the pipe wont come loose. I know the above seem like nothing big but I am doing this blind as the directions are no help. next there is 2 holes on the bottom, one seems to have hose connector but the other is just a straight hole. which is which, I know one is were you can drain tank but which is which. also I have 4 tighners, but looking at it seems each hose only takes one. Does anyone have a 2260 and will take a few pictures for me to go on. I don't care if I look like an idiot asking but Id rather get it right than water spew out.

PS. I cant find a damn video on youtube either.

not much help to you BUT I just picked up a used 2262. The 2 on the bottom, the big one is for the intake from the tank, it takes 1" hose. The other is 5/8" and is for backflush and draining, make sure its closed.

My tank hasn't been delivered so I haven't tangled with setting it up yet, but its pretty simple. On the pump the grey collar doesn't have to "seat" all the way, and don't over tighten or you risk breaking something..

that helps but do you have to do the hose in the out put like that, using the hard plastic piece, I thought you just put the hose on, or is there different ways

You don't have to do the hard piece. If you read the thread, he did that because he had clearance issues and didn't realize (or want to ) he could put the pump on its side.

I didnt get a chance to read it word by word, had a dinner party last night and only skimmed it before company came over, I am reading it on a tab right now. also a quick question, and again the directions say nothing if this, I am having trouble connecting intake bar to the tube, I saw in the picture he put hose between them and tightened it down, I would have never thought that

This is about to go out the back door, the back wash nozzle that is suppose to fit in the the hole is not connecting there isn't any threads to run it to, are you suppose to twist the cap put in the inside and then tighten them that way, I like to think myself as a smart person but wtf, also the picture on box shows 6 tighteners and I only have 5
Also are you suppose to cut the hose in a few bits to connect the hard tubes together and the output hard tube had no end to it, are you just suppose to let it flow out , this such BS
