YEH BACONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

My buddy showed up last night with the 2 fish sweet will post up pictures of them in a few. They definitely are different color than my other 2 jags who are a lot darker.

Ok so got the pics loaded up. I took a shot of one of my 2 jags in my tank for color comparison.

as soon as the bigger one hit the tank one of the loiselle took it personal as the jag had actually infringed on the nest they were building. I spent a good bit of time to see if this would turn into an all out brawl but it all chilled after about 15 minutes. As of this morning everything is good.

the 2 new jags buddied up as soon as I put the smaller golden one in.

one of my existing jags spent lots of time checkin out the ladies.

I am selling off my tsn and my silver aro so that I can convert my 230g into a tank for my jags.

It would be pretty interesting to see what kind of fry would come if the loiselle and jags cross

Can't wait to see pics.

Guess I dident have to wait. Good looking fish. and why would you want them to crossbreed you ruin some nice lines.

well I kind of look at it this way, the hobby is full of fish that people have that are hybrid. As well if I am not mistaken the species in the tank are all from the same genus so cross breed would not be to much of a gap

I also think they would look stunning. I have read many threads where people get cross breeding of the fish in their tanks and the fry turn out to be a nice fish.

I can imagine a jags speckling combined with that nice blue on the back of the loiselle would look very nice.

No question wether or not it would look good. Two gorgeous fish could only produce other gorgeous fish. But is it right to dumb down what you have useually in order to gain a trait you have to lose a trait, and why would you want to change what has already been so perfectly created/evolved. I just like to think that everyone wants as close to natural beauty as possible.

Now I pose a ? to you.

How can 2 fish of the same genus making babies denigrate natural beauty?

I am interested in seeing what answers anyone reading this could come up with.
