1st ?- About how much flow should I get from two 1 1/4" o/f's?

2nd ?- How large of a sump for a 700 gallon tank?

I am in the beginning stages of building my 700 and was planning to use a 75 for my w/d sump. Depending on what I use for bio media (probably scrubbies), how much of the tank should be devoted to holding them? The two o/f's will be on the same end of the tank, operating on the same design(more or less) as the corner o/f's in the All glass Aquarium tanks. I know there is a formula somewhere on the site...

I just read the sticky; not the answers I was looking for. I already have a pump for the sump; I want to be sure of the gph two 1 1/4 o/f's can deliver to the sump for my tank. Thanks guys:D

On my 800 gallon system the sump is 110 gallons (Full when power is off) and a single Reeflo pump that is pushing about 4000 gallons per hour through the 4 tanks. 2 x 250 & 2 x 150

Bigger tanks have 2 x 1.5" drains and are handling all the water that is being thrown into it. The smaller tanks have a single 1/5" drain in them. These tanks have less flow than the others obviously so the output is throttled down.

Im running 3600gph on my 1100 gallon pond right now through two 1.5" pipes. Thats not pressurized, thats actual overflow.. Then Im running a 900gph pump on a 1.25" overflow. Hope that helps ya some :)
