? about large tank filtration

If a single 1 1/4" o/f will deliver 700-800 gph, then two still won't be enough for a 700...isn't there a formula for figuring the gph for o/f's? I have a Flotec 2300x and a 1300x for the return; about 3000-3300 gph depending on how much line I run, which will be as short as possible.

perfect, thanks man:headbang2

p.s. what exactly is "minimum linear overflow size"? It says 14" for a single 1 1/4" pipe, at 900 gph. Dual 1 1/4" pipes gives me 1800 gpf, so that would be 28", right? But when I plug in 1800 gph, the formula gives me 1 3/4" drain pipe size and 27" minimum linear o/f size...???

I'd use two 1 1/2" drains min. on a tank that size. Two 2" drains would be better, and a sump of at least 150 gals. This is based on my own experience. I'm no expert. I would also put one overflow at each end of the tank, rather than having them both on one end.
