About to buy a jardini arowana

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
jardinis are incredible fish but be prepared for the possibility that you will have to keep it alone.

and keep in mind its possible that the dude is giving it away because its aggressive he doesn't want to dedicate a whole large tank to it :)

its ok wen its a juve but after it reaches a foot long (about 12'') then beware!!! even with larger fish...u have to put it with sumthing hardy like maybe a catfish. yet, jardini are known for eating catfish and vice versa :p

:WHOA: Wow a breeding pair of Jardini. This may be a first for MFK, maybe you could get some pics, cause I know everyone would love to see this.

i will i pick up my jardini in about two weeks from now im excited :D

I probably wouldn't put them together right away... Especially if your Devil has decimated all his mates already.. 8" is the so called majic mark.. But don't underestimate the powers of a Killer Devil..

I would have a divider handy just in case.. And, Or Move them both into the tank the same day.. Still have a divider ready.. Free is nice but nice free fish don't come by all the time :)

id do it man. its soooooo worth the risk. the amount of joy u get from raising a baby jar would be a life experience worth remembering. peace...

yeah its free couldnt be.. too bad.. im sure the jardini will leave my RD alone.. and my RD wont bother chasing him cause he will be almost as big as the RD

A 120g is to small for a Jardini, let alone a jar and a red devil. Given the nature of Red denils I dought the Jar will survive. If for some reason the RD is placid, they will live peacefully for a while, then there is a 90% chance the jar will snap and kill the RD.
