i am about to get a 150 gallon aquarium i have to hang filters right now that is for a 90 gl tank and i am about to get a big emperor filter and two 80 gl heaters will this be just fine for a setup. i want it to be crystal clear and stay at a good temp. opions needed

Hey in my opinion I would get 2 200 watt geaters, that way they wont be working so hard to keep steady temp and I like the canister filters like an XP3 or the Eheim now has a built in heater unit keep the mess off the side of the tank. And you could always get a hang on H.O.T. Magnum filter with the micron filter to polish the water.

if you go with HOB filters then I'd go with 4 AC 500's (or I think they're called 110's now). I had 4 on my 150 and it was crystal clear. I do agree with having 2 heaters. I had 2 250 watt heaters on my 150.

I love overdoing it, but you've taken it to a new level (4 PF's?)......If the tank is acrylic, you'll need just one 200 watt heater, glass probably would require 2-150-200 watters....

I'd run two canister filters. I prefer fluvals. (best bang for the buck)
You can then clean one of them each month without upsetting the bacteria.

I did this for years on a 125 and it was crystal clear.

i have two 300 watt heaters on my 110 and they work great i always go over kill though just to be safe fro filters i run a magnum 350 pro system (canister) an emperor 400 (hangon) a penguin 350 (hangon) and an undergravel filter setup on ther reverse flow principle and my water is perfect and i think best bang for the buck canister has to be the magnum 350 their cheap and easy to clean

in my 100 gal tank i use a wetdry for the biogical filitation and a magnum 350 canister i put carbon in the 350. i only use one 150watt heater . i have vho lights they put off a lot of heat themselves. i have clear water .
