about to possibly get an L114

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mine eat everything too, even 14" fire eels, figured id try somthing different in my setup and after one night the fire eel is stressed and sporting a mangled tail, i guess at this point in time im looking to rehome a fire eel, any one want one?

LOL well i never catch him outside from the underneath of his piece of wood...but im pretty sure hes getting some cichlid gold in him. lol.

need more wood though in all my pleco tanks. :d'oh!:

When he gets larger you will see him out more. My large L-114 male is 11 inches and is always out from under the driftwood lights on or off. He will take pellets from my hand.

could it be possible the guppies and comet buzzing around the tank scare him to sticking under the wood?

Unless the comets are especially large, I doubt it. Actually, it would be good to have these fish out "buzzing about" as "dithers." It suggests that the area is safe for them to come out. Small plecos generally hide when young; another way to get some plecos out and more active is to get several of them, so they interact socially (or agressively, defending territories from each other, etc).

ahhh good idea!
LFSource has a batch of these guys..35ea though. idk if im feeling that. same size

*edit*
always did wonder wth "dithers" was. lol thx
