First, I found out that my kois were having stress issues so I happened to buy "Nature Quest Himalayan Rock Salt" from grocery store. Well I bought it because someone said "Rock Salt" was a good alternative choice for Freshwater Aquarium Salt, but now I'm kind of lost about "using Non-iodized Salt" and so on. Any experience or ideas whether to use or not? I've dipped around 4 tea spoon into my 40 g tank already, not sure if they're having problem.

Packet says it can be used for body bath (Human), soothe aches, soften skin.
"All Natural, essential trace minerals, chemical free, pollutant free, no free flowing agent"
Brand - Nature Quest

What are the ingredients? If it's something other than NaCl (salt), you don't want to use it.

Just get some non-iodized salt at the grocery store. You can buy rock salt at Home Depot (in large bags) if you need a lot.

The pink salt is just a waste.

The color comes from mineral deposits in the salt.
It may not harm anything but it could. Calcium deposits could raise Ph, magnesium which I suspect is why it’s recommended to soothe muscles can be useful for some things, like constipation but if your fish has loose stools already you wouldn’t want to add that.

Salt is used to reduce osmotic pressure which in turn helps fish in absorbing electrolytes this can be helpful when a fish is stressed from shipping or in a high nitrate situation.
Salt can also treat some diseases and parasites.
It can also help replace a fish’s slim coat.

But you do not need to keep freshwater fish under constant salt water treatment.

You don’t really need to use iodized salt. Plain salt is really all you need.

Salt is cheap, Use a salt that is pure save the pink salts on your aching feet!

It’s fine to use but make sure it’s not contaminated with other chemicals.

It has Sodium but not Chloride, so it's just NA 720mg on 500g pack. Should be fine right?

Don't shoot me for using Wikipedia as a source, but the info is pretty much spot on.

IMO most Himalayan salt is no different than salt sold as Sea salt. Both primarily consist of Sodium chloride (approx. 98%), although some labels only list sodium. The remaining 2% consists of trace minerals. The Nature Quest brand appears to be marketed for human consumption, so unless the package that you bought is specifically for bathing, and includes added fragrances etc, it will be fine for your fish.
