I wish I had been more patient when I did see the feathered beast on the prowl, I woulda liked to have taken its picture!, Pretty cool looking birds!

Speaking of pictures, I have some and I will do a description that matches the picture, how very exciting!

Because this new pool is much smaller I have already started building a round net to keep the Beak at Bay, to keep it the Eff away, from my Pretty Outdoor Swimmers. Yes, the 'perp' did take all but one of my large Koi but my Koi had babies last year and I have about two dozen one year old Koi about 2 to 3+ inches long and they are showing some nice colors and cool patterns. About half are less colorful, light a light lemon color and it's fun to have a gang of Koi the same size. When they feed it is so cool to watch! It's a colorful frenzy, way fun to see!

Okay, here's the pics!

This is going to be my backyard campground/amusement complex, It's gonna be a Gall Dang Blast! Notice the platform in the crook of the tree, BTW, that tree is a Japanese Maple. I even planted it there about 18 years ago...the new outdoor pool-pond 300 gallons.jpg

This next pic is without the platform.

I'm really excited about my new Outdoor Water World Amusement Park but we gotta get back in the basement for these next pics, Carry On!

It seems like it was only a few weeks ago when I removed '99' % of the water lettuce from the Chicago. It has already nearly completely covered the top again, with a carpet of small new growth, I need to keep removing it to the benefit of the plants in the tank. When it get this thick it can become a problem with air-water exchange, that is what I think I noticed. If not kept in check it seems like this plant can choke the water. And since the green leaves are floating above the water, it is not adding oxygen to the water.

However, I also believe this plant, Water Lettuce, it really consumes the nitrates, this tank consistently measures about 10 ppm and no algae grows on the glass or the walls of the tank and I think it is because of this plant.

On the other hand, my Goldfish in the Hard Working Akron, I still have to give it regular water changes because of higher nitrate readings and algae grows on the glass on the regular... And I even have that Houseplant trough using only tank water for nutrients and they look very nice!

I'm so glad I finally did a houseplant trough running on tank water! If I had to water these plants by hand, they woulda dried out after a few weeks, I NEVER have to water these plants, HOORAY for Plant Life!

Here's a closer look at the Plant Life.

One last look at the platform! It is very secure.
