Aboveground Pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok another update. Work then resumed on the 9th. The pond isn't exactly done yet. just needs some tweeking, and a filter. Pump placement and plumbing has been decieded.

These first pictures are of where the plumbing will come out, this will be caped and you won't see it. pump will be in the lower pond.

Next is the start of the flower ledge/plumbing hider shelf of sort. Support of that is started with standerd outdoor 2x4. Next update will include how it "hides" the tube.

thanx onion :) i plan on putting mainly cichlid grow outs in it for the summer. it's roughly about 1300gal i'm guessing. based on measurements for the big side it's roughly 840. smaller side i figure is about half that. we haven't exactly worked out the filter for it yet. i imagine it to be outside in the back in a box of some sort, and spills into the bigger side corner or middle, we dunno yet.

Wow, that really turned out nice. Great job! :headbang2

This photo is the space intended for the filter box on the backside of the larger pond against the house.

If anyone has any ideas for a filter box. I am open to suggestions.

That really is a nice set up. Had to laugh about the Jap Maple. I'm a landscaper and you're right. There's always one around a pond. :grinno:
