If I siliconed a piece of this onto the back of my aquarium would it be safe for my stingrays?

I have heard from some it is ok and from others that I should look for acrylic as it is safer as far as release of toxins Any thoughts?

I am using this material on 3 sides and bottom of my tank and not having any issues but my tank is only 2 months old. I checked several sites for composition/limitations/negative effects of abs plastics but haven't found anything wrong with it for aquarium use(haven't even read anything with first hand experience of it having ill effects on fishs mostly are opinions, so don't know why everybody says abs is bad for fishes). Here's a site that might help you decide.

hey there!
i've been using black leathergrain ABS sheeting for years inside my tanks to cover the filter, and had absolutely no problems what so ever. i have also seen it being used as a background in reef tanks.
from my experience, i'm sure it would be just fine.
