would you get two penguin 350's or one ac110 for a 75 gallon aquarium?

two AC110s for sure. Then you can stager filter changes and have two filters that will last the life of the tank! They are very reliable and simple filters with lots of room for Bio media. IMO the only HOBs worth purchasing.

or actually two AC70s would work well two...just not as much filtering ability.

I agree. Aqua Clears are customizable, and don't have that annoying biowheel sound.

You could get a canister instead, for the price of 2 AC110's.

aqua clears are the only way to go if its a hob. i run them in all my tanks. id go two 110's or two 70's would work too. i like how it airates and filters. basically its a hob canister.

def the ac 110, on my 75 i got 2 running and on my 20 gal i have the ac 70 and same just work so much better

i had 2 AC110 filtering 2 of my 75g tank. Stays nice and clean. on one my 75 i was only running 1 AC110 and still does the job

Well if the cost is an issue and the only choices are what you stated I would go with the two penguin 350s. They will do an adiquate job of filtering an average stocked 75g tank, plus you get the safety of two filters.
