all of a sudden my ac110 is acting up and its my only filter it is surging it will flow full flow and then slow down to and speed up again i took it apart checked the intake tubes the media and impellar and motor no signs of scaring on the impellar or anything i dont understand can anyone give me any advice please

If you disassembled the filter completely for cleaning, you must put the impeller in the motor well cavity before you 'snap' in the impeller cover. Also make sure the intake 'U' tube adaptor is on the end of the 'U' tube. Be sure the filter is full of water before plugging the filter in.

Fill up the filter, otherwise it won't prime itself.

it has always been fuly primed befor starting you can see all air has worked its way out its almost like your moving the flow control from + to - restricting then increasing the flow ive never seen an electric motor do this ive seen them get a dead spot and stop but not surge and now its getting a louder vibration im probably gonna get another one today after work till i can fix this one

Look for cracks in the uplift tube. My filter did the same thing and it had a small crack in it.

i give up im so flippen mad right now i went and bought a brand new ac110 and its doing the same thing i dont get how it can flow fast then slow media is clean all tubes and connections good no cracks its so flippen annoying hearin the water rush and slow down the only thing i can think of is theres something wrong with my wall outlets but i dont see how thats possible anything else you plug in works fine, i guess i could use 2 ac110 to almost eqaul one with the surging what do you guys think please help lol

ok after trying other outlets with an extension cord filter did the same got out my multimeter and i think because im in a large apartment complex im getting a voltage drop and due to the fact there mag drive filters its surging i have both ac110 runnin on the 58 gallon now well see how long a motor and impellar lasts
