AC110 impeller

My impeller is making noise. Got sand in it, scored it a bit. I have heard of people using Vaseline or something of that sort to help, am i way off? any advice/ideas? thanks.

I clean everything out with a Q-tip and rise the motor out. Usualy right afterwards it makes noise, but after a couple of days it becomes virtually silent. No idea on the vaseline - might need to buy a new impeller.

mine makes noise the first day after cleaning it or initial use but it normally goes away within 24 hours..

no idea on vaseline either.

I was just messing around with my noisy ac70 just now. What you do is unplug and replug back and forth until the noise goes away.

Yes. you must be an ac noob. I use a paper clip on top of chopstick and poke at the motor until it shuts up.

i don't consider myself a noob, just a question to see if there is another option versus buying a new impeller. i don't understand this post either...

Make sure the rod that the impellar spins on is securely set. If this rod wiggles at all the impellare will make noise.
