That's a really weird thing to care about.

Petsmart will price match anything from any other PetSmart or their website. So it hardly makes sense to be a regional sale.
 
Wow this thread is so FAIL after the first post.

AC110s are the best HOB filter out there. I like AC but I've converted all my tanks to canisters now.
 
I agree, they are the best HOB filters and you should jump on those ASAP. If all petsmarts are the same then where are these 11.99 EBJDs that I have heard so much about :nilly:

I talk to a fish employee in my local Petsmart (he knows a lot about fish, has been working there for years, probably pushing 50 years old).

Anyways, he told me Petsmart is supplied by a WEST coast supplier and an EAST coast supplier (makes sense right?). A Petsmart gets stocked from only one of the suppliers, NOT both. The fish they have at eash supplier are usually from different wholesalers (even though the fish are the same species).

The "Opportunity Buy" tanks here on the West Coast differ from the East coast (based on the supplier). Here on the west, our petsmart have recently gotten African Peacock cichlids, and will be getting Blue Rams soon. East Coasters have EBJDs.
 
Chain stores use different pricing strategies all the time. My town has two Walmarts, twenty minutes aways....their prices are different, not on every item....but on several.

Go to various chains' website and click on the weekly ads. The ads will only be for your local area or it will ask you for your zip code.
