My ac110 is flowing slow and the waters running slow towards the back of the filter and it usually flows real good and im kind of worried about it because ive only had for about a month. I just cleaned it completely because i was told this would fix the problem. Thanks

Hey Jon,

Have you checked your intake and impeller housing? AC110s are known to be extremely reliable and efficient. But, I have noticed the intakes gunk up pretty good too. Personally, I like this...it keeps hornwort from wrapping around my impeller lol :)

yeah i have sand in my tank but i have foam extension for the tube so theres a less chance of sand going in it but im getting ready to just unplug it so the noise doesnt drive me crazy while im trying to sleep

From the description alone, I would guess you're plugged (especialy with a sponge intake). Your impeller is starved for water, so you're getting the surging sounds as it's cavitating. You should be able to remove the intake and back flush...I do mine every time I do a water change and they're usually pretty gunked up!

When my AC had this grinding noise it was cause the magnet on my impeller was worn out and the impeller was grinding against the plastic up top. But mine was over 10 years old. Odd that yours is so new and doing this
