AC247?? Ac110 with bio-wheel. Anyone else adding bio-wheels and or trickle boxes to their AC filters?if so what modifications have been done, n the end results.

I've seen AC110's turned into refugiums for SW set-ups but thats about it.

I run my tanks 2"-3" down from top. Here's a couple of my idea's that I'm currently running. Take a specimen container trim to fit(will take lil thinking n lil cutting) 1st put your container inside tank where filter will sit now put your filter on over the containers hanger think where you want your overflow to be. Can be holes in bottom or sides or trim a few overflow spots. Drill a lot of holes in botton n put airstone underneath even for even more air! Also bio-wheels also that easy 1 I'm sure everyone can figure out how to add them.

lol. why would anyone add a useles bio-wheel to an ac110?
marineland tried the "wet/dry" HOB, and it just didnt work.

if you want wet/dry filtration, build a sump. otherwise just stick with the ac110 the way it is.

I don't use it as a wet/dry system I put ceramic balls in it but other types of media could be used,I use overflows to redirect the water flow
