TAZ ~ thx for posting some ACA pix! Our big winner - the red tapajos male went to Chicago last year but didn't show well... We almost didn't take him to Sacramento ~ just goes to show never give up on your fish! We were going to take our female lent but took big red instead. <She got sick while we were gone & died yesterday>. Ron G's red tapajos took 2nd in class last year. The 3rd pic (post #17) is our female cobra, her male companion won
1st last year - thought we'd give her a chance! She displayed well & swam around but had drab color at the show... Our male 'red-cheek' lugubris sp. won 3rd ~ he's an interesting Pike ~ we have high hopes for him in the future.
Didn't bring our 13"+ female marmorata (due to minor HITH) - she's incredible!
Oliver Lucanus told us there's a multi-vitamin treatment that can cure HITH - will post when we get details... (His talk was great! -funny guy) There's hope for anyone who has "pitted" pikes (atabapo 'fires', etc.) Thx for the cudos Jer ~ we brought back some regani, notos, gauchos, 4 undescribed Colombian creni's (Vinny said they're not johannas or venez.). Even a pair of teleocichla (mini-pikes) we put in with some Apistos.
