Yeah, the Philippine Islands Reef had a first and second floor viewing area. You could even walk above it with windows you could walk on. You should bring your class on a field trip. It would be one of those field trips that would be remembered even when your class grows up and forgets your name. Atleast they will remember that you were cool enough to bring them there.

the oscar was in the same tank with this big white fella. Maybe thats how he got that scar on its face. I'm guessing it was about 14-16". I thought gators ate fish. Maybe this is the new final destination for unwanted O's

yeah, that Oscar is kinda effed up. Half his face and one pectoral fin is missing. But he's huge and has really nice colors. Maybe the gator likes dead chickens better?

I also saw a pair of red devils with fry so maybe the gator and the cichlids do get along. I couldnt photo the pair, they were too far in the enclosure and the glass was super thick. Or maybe it was acrylic.
