I have glass tanks and have never seen him sucking or chewing on the glass, may be because he has a lot of places to hide.

Hey. It's been a long time. My adonis is the same size and I never find him on my acrylic. However, they have a ton of wood for them to chew on, and I think they prefer it. Of all the species of plecos I have, I only have one species that I find on my acrylic and they don't do any damage. I think your gorgeous tanks would be just fine if he had a couple nice pieces of driftwood in with him.
