Acceptable Red Devil tank mates?

that looks more like a hybbrid than a RD TBH, if i ws u id rather a true RD or RD/midas than a hybrid, whats with everyone calling every hybrid a FH nowadays...
 
I think maybe you could try a bichir they come out at night usualy when your fish is sleeping and won't disturb it at all, and they don't really look like fish so I find agressive cichlids don't even bother attacking them. If you where to get any bichir I would recomend a delhezi because they tend to be less active during the day, and can live their whole lives in a 55g
 
It looks like a FH to me also a Rose breast(queen) to be exact. Bottom line never put any aggressive fish in a 1 on 1 situation it will always be the death of 1 or a severe beating until 1 is moved. a 55 is only big enough for 1 aggressive fish
