what the heck are you missing? He said explain why.So if I say because I freaking believe that God created everything then I am auto out of bounds as far as this thread goes.Just chill man,its not right and alot of ppl know it.Im not hating on you guys, just telling the truth. He asked if you accept it,and to offer WHY.See now?You cant tell Christians to shut up and stay out of everything. If your reason why is because of God and your not able to say it then were dealing with a bunch of nazis witch I know we are not.So just try to see what I mean here.Im on the way to Big Gs house right now for his spanking so its all good.:DIts a good topic guys sure, but so are politics and we cant do that either so I just think its unfair to do this and tell us to stay out.Thats all,:yuck:

Still, you are avoiding the question. State why you do not accept it...it has nothing to do with religion. This has to do with theories, concepts, proof, claims, etc. What part of evolution do you not accept? Its a very multifaceted theory...

Then again so is gravity

Krzr, the issue that Jason is bringing up is that many Christians believe that the world, and everything in/on it, was created in 7 days. This means that God created all animals at once on one of those days. However, Christians are not allowed to say that on this thread.

That is why many Christians do not believe in evolution. For a Christian, stating why they do not accept it has EVERYTHING to do with religion, as religion is the backbone in their beliefs.

Personally, I was raised Roman Catholic, but I do not know if I believe in God or not. I am 22 years old, and at that wondering/questioning stage in my life. However, I do not believe that the world was created in 7 days, makes no sense to me. What I can see happening though, is a God-driven evolution. That is, evolution occurred, but through the hand of God.

well, lets just say I believe in God,still sorting through alot of the 7 day stuff and other things in the bible but either way yeah,we would have done what you said but were not supposed to so thats why its a questionable thread to be allowed.Either way, have fun guys.Im going to get a beer and a steak.

Take me to dinner, Jason! :hearts::hearts::hearts:

I don't see what the big deal is then...if religion is the reason for not accepting then just say religion. No need to go into detail about creationism. This thread happens to be about the details of evolution...

Whatever, i see where you're coming from and thats cool.

Not trying to make a big deal man, at all. All I am saying is, that is where Jason is coming from. He felt that those who believe that evolution did not occur due to what I stated earlier were not allowed to voice their opinion.

Bur w/e, its cool =)

The fact is, religious people are what make this topic controversial. No one fights over thermodynamics, gravity, and all that (well, general public that is).

Politics are what make global warming such a hot topic. Religion is what makes evolution controversial. Remove all that baggage and all you have are interesting theories that provoke thoughtful discussion... instead you have rhetoric that doesn't go anywhere.

Lots of people took personal offense to Copernicus and Galileo, but now those of the same religion have learned to live with these facts in peace!

Science does not involve faith and therefore people shouldn't be upset/defensive if others are ignorant or unresponsive to such ideas - it isn't an ethos, it is an idea on how our world works! And those with faith... come on, it shouldn't be shaken by something you don't believe in, so just give it a rest as well.

And those in the middle... good for you :p

I cannot for the life of me see why you miss the entire problem here. Its the fact that we as Christians cannot freely explain our ideas about evolution with out bringing up God and thats against the rule here. So,we are not permitted to join in a nice discussion with our friends because of the site rules. So if those rules are their, then why pick a topic that is not going to be able to be freely discussed by all who are interested. So religion is just baggage?Post like this are why this always goes bad.comments like that. You say our beliefs are just interesting theories, thanks. My faith is not shaken, the entire thing here is the fact that for me to communicate with the others here I must bring up God,Im not bashing ppl who believe in evolution, just saying, have the same respect as I do for you and let me speak free or dont have a thread where I cant. Please understand, here I sit behind my laptop with a cold bud light and I see a thread that my friends are in.You want me to go get the duct tape and tape my mouth shut or should I be able to talk to them and them to me like civil adults. The main reason it wont happen is as soon as one brings up even just the name God,you get red letters all over from haters.I dont hate you for being happy my family used to be apes, but ppl get furious when I believe that the strongly felt force in my life and all Ive seen has to have come from more than my ancestors eating bananas.I know things evolve,Im not here to tell you that in 7 days God used Adams toe nail to make Eve into a mermaid or anything you know. Its just that we are not allowed to speak free when asked straight up why we dont believe.
