Hi Everyone!

i have never posted here before and I actually have saltwater tanks, but I used to have freshwater (15 years ago).

I saw something interesting the other day about acclimating Pleco's to Salt water.... Has anyone heard about or done this. Pleco's were always my favorite freshwater fish and I would love to have one in my saltwater tank, but would hate to experiment ond put one through that misery.

If it is even possible to acclimate them, would they be able to feed off saltwater algae???

Any thoughts??

I wouldnt try it the pleco would just die

Plecos in florida have been known to fall out of fresh water canals and go it the the brakish side and they LIVE... as far as u putting one in a salt tank i co not see this working

so i would not do it

No, I was not going to try it unless I see evidence that it was possible. I personally do not think it is possible, but thats why I pisted to get other peoples opionions.

Thanks
