Ack!! Darn glass heaters!!

YES, that is the creme de la creme!!!
grimpatches, I always unplug heaters and filters before a wc, so I just don't know. As it was used when I got it, there may have been a chip or hairline crack I overlooked during my careful check. Hate I lost the fish--those neon rosy barbs (natural color) are about the only small fish aside from my monster emerald cories that I like. A very small school (the special kids) of 6 were very active and beautiful amongst the plants. Down to one. NO MORE GLASS, EVEN FREE!!
 
FREE glass heaters are the worse, IMO...seems there is always a problem with them...I don't know if it's because they were still live when the water level was dropped, (W/C etc.) then flooded when hot, but I never have good luck with them...I like NEW STEALTHS, so I know what is going on with them...
 
In just the past three months I've gone through 4 glass heaters. It's my fault, forgot to turn-off the power strips they were plugged into and they burst during a WC. You would think after the first 2 went I would have learned to pay more attention, but noooo.

My puffer also broke his heater (still trying to figure that one out) and I put my hand in the water and got a real good jolt! I swear Buff Puff was laughing at me!
 
after i broke a glass on a few years back, i went to my lfs and replaced all of my heaters with stealth's i love them, they are idiot proof in many ways.
