Not the smallest sp in the cichla family. I know of some kelberi's hitting almost the 20" mark. So that being said, a 180 would be bare minimum for any of the smaller cichla...ie monos, Guyana ocell's, pleiazonas, negros and kelberi's.
Most people do. It's all good. But kelberi's are sure the slowest grower to reach 20".
How much do kel's usually run? Iv been looking for them and tem's.

Depends...Bahia kelberi's can run from $125-$200 depending on size. Wild kelberi's, I would spend $150-$250.
