Does anyone have recommendations for an algae cleaner that will not scratch an acrylic tank? I have a 535g tank that is a pain to clean. I saw on bulkreefsupply.com they have a brand called Free Algae and the product was Tiger Shark that can be used on 3/4in acrylic. Curious if anyone has experience with these or similar products. My challenge will be the 3/4in acrylic.

Thanks!

DwarfCichlidLvr DwarfCichlidLvr my tank has a 2ft aimara that has been solitary his whole life. I doubt anything can survive with him.

Jexnell Jexnell thanks. This looks like something that actually gets attached to the scrubbers I was looking at.

This is what I was looking at.

That might work.
I just cut it in half, a half for both of my 125s. Since not so deep I just hand scrub while draining during water changes.

I use a shower scrubber it was $5 at the super market. Works very well and doesn't scratch the acrylic. It takes me less then 5 minutes to clean the acrylic wile I'm doing my weekly water change. IMG_0198.JPG

Helpful! I was picturing something else...

OP same boat - made similar thread few days back, gonna try shower scrubber first then when I got a spare $125 buy the tiger shark...

Just a thought,
With the shower scrubber you would need to make sure it doesn't have any antibacterial/chemicals in it that could pollute your tank
