Acrylic tank Seam separation

Seems separation is spreading area is now about 10 inches, tank is a secondhand tank no warranty or fingers to point. Need to get it fixed, not sure about how to do repair at this point leaning towards weld on 40 in all corners and repairing at once. Don’t know how much to get anyone have any suggestions?

I would put a bar clamp on it, maybe even 2, in the meantime while you prepare for the fix.

IT HAS FULLY SPREAD. Draining now and moving fish. Literally just setup the other tank and turn around to see this.

Hmmm...almost looks like destressing the seam (by lowering the water level) aggravated the separation even more, if that's possible. Odd that the problem would get worse as you took weight off the seam.

Good job catching this. I'd hate to have seen what happened if this slipped under the radar.

Tanks empty and fish seem to be doing well. There are some torn fins, but Catastrophic failure avoided. I’m done for the day.
