I haven't thought that much through actually. That was partially why I came here.
oh okay well pond armour has been the standard but I have had great success with corotech v400 or v430 by Benjamin Moore or Aquaepoxy. same quality or better and cheaper by the gallon.. There is a minimum of 3 gallons with aquapoxy though...Macropoxy is another one to consider. They both also have a longer work time and you can tint them to any color ( cost a little more). I use fiberglass/ resin for the seams. also use monentive for the sealant. you will need to rough up the edges for silicone to acrylic. I cradled the glass I used in a frame so I could silicone the sides completely which worked for me. sorry about the dissertation lol.
