Who has plecos in their acrylic tanks? !!

I have a L25 and a L47 in acrylic tanks.

The only reason for this thread is I have an acrylic tank and I have acrylic hides. All for a Rhino plec

I'm not the most well versed on plecos, but I think there are certain species that have a higher tendency to damage acrylic. I think the big factor is the type(s) of plecos that you have.

i have over 50 in a 450 gallon acrylic, all kinds.I never see any plecos on any sides of the tank but maybe it is because the tank is full of wood?

I put two 1' common plecos in a 600 gallon last year and no damage was done

it depends on the type I say. I had a leapord sail fin about 12"+ in a 315g that left his mark in the acrylic. That wa the first time & only time so far. I have several in acrylic displays now without much problems but I do want to put a 6" Vampire L29 in one of the displays with many other Plecos but worried about this guy sinking his teeth in the acrylic & aggression with the others?
Give them plenty of hiding spots, wood etc. would help keep him of the sides of the tank.

Besides scuffing up a tank, would the rhino pleco die or get sick if it got some acrylic, currently coming close to finishing an acrylic hide for when i get the rhino plec.

I've got some dwarf type plecos(bristlenose and clowns) in my 450g. Don't ever see them on the acrylic though.

So I did not vote in the poll.
