Would this idea work? Lol
This 300 gallon tank is acrylic but the calculations say glass because I wanted to see how much it would be heavier.

Anyway...

I was gonna build a platform that's made of a bunch of 2x4's in the middle of plywood on the bottom and top.
There won't be any holes in the tank for filtration as this basically be an above ground pond.

My idea to make it an easier moving tank (when empty) with castor wheels mean for a car.
I was gonna buy this four piece set and use some kind of industrial adhesive to stick them to the bottom of the platform.

Will this be possible?
The picture shows the exact measurements of each Dolly and where it will be placed under the tank. Combined they can hold 6000 pounds.

Hello; back with idea shortly.
Hello; I have casters on creepers i use to work on my vehicles. One thing for sure is the larger the diameter of the wheel the better. I eventually removed the small wheels which came on my creeper to put bigger ones on. Now it will roll over small stuff a lot easier. I suggest big wheels. s big as you can fit.

Next idea is what the wheels are made of. looks like in the picture the wheels proposed have some sort of soft tread. i think Northern Tool use to send me master catalogues in which they offered a variety of wheels. I built an AV +TV stand using some of their wheels. I picked wheels of 3in or more diameter with a plastic thread. That way it can roll over carpet but is not real heavy.
Point being your tank with water and all the steel will be heavy. You might consider solid metal wheels because of the weight. At the least look up the weight bearing capacity of the wheels. Some with composite type treads can take the weight. I think the issue with such wheels is if the plastic or composite sits in one place with a lot of weight they can deform.
Having seen carts in a warehouse or in a big supermarket with some sort of soft tread I figure they can be had. I also hear some of them thump, thump, thump as they roll along.

Question - Are you planning to push or pull on the tank acrylic when moving it? will there be a frame to push on?

Good luck
