activated carbon for tannins?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok well I will stick to my water changes, may bump up the amount a little but I think evey other day is plenty frequent lol. Also the new lighting will help make it much more visible in the tank so that will help. Also may look into the purigen, it can't hurt lol. Thanks everyone

I have witnessed a noticeable change in water color after using carbon. Like some others, I don't mind the tannins. Where about in Louisiana are you located?

Carbon without a doubt will remove the tannins. Just be sure to wash it out every so often as someone else stated above. Between carbon and your normal water changes, it should clear up soon.
