Mine lungfish was very active as it gets older. Won't stop looking for food unless it's full. Then 4 hours later it will start looking for food again. They only care about eating, resting and chilling out.
As for the pectoral fins it will grow faster in warmer water like 86F. The warmer the water the faster it grows back, It will grow back to normal doesn't matter how many times it gets cut off. My smallest lungfish got sucked in the FX5 filer when it knocked the guard down. Good thing it only sucked in the tail because if it was the head it would have been a goner. The tail later became crushed and got rotten about almost 40%. Within 3 months it regenerated back to normal.
