My lima and bullheads are both very active and four lined pims are so cool and very active so you have options.

Asian Upside Down Cat - Mystis sp. Max out about 12". Mine was always out.
I have a couple of Synos. They are seen often, more so at feeding time.
The Raphaels are hit or miss. They take a long time to reach 8" and can hide allllll the time. Some have more personality than other.
I would get the Lima.
