Two Hours? I get, shall we say, disenchanted after five minutes of unsuccessful netting fish. I wish I had just 1/10th the patience that you have!

Well probs only spent 5-10mins netting them. but the rest of that time spend emptying the tank water, removing the decor, puttin it back (loads of heavy rocks) refilling etc. plus watchin live at the apollo at the same time

MY JOB HERE FOLKS ........

IS DONE :headbang2

but seriously here I sit just having finished the drain of 50%, put back in the decor with a different arrangement and watching the fish go WTF really dude WTF.

My bleekeri are totally bleached and the dominant fish are totally bewildered as they have no dominance any more the little guys are screaming with glee at the new pathways I have created that the bigger dudes can not get through. The world is new to them the wood has been totally moved to look different and present a different world.

Though I do have to say netting exodon's is the hardest thing they are so fast and areodynamic.

I used to hate netting fish also. So now I have a piece of eggcrate that I stick down into the tank to divide it and slide it towards the end of the tank to make the space they have to swim a lot smaller. It's a lot easier now.

I know there's some kind of net that you can get where instead of it being a netting material, it's more like a plastic ziploc baggie attached.

I know its harder for fish to notice, and it holds the water when you transfer them so they aren't all floppy.

I can't find them online, but I seen them used on The Cake Boss when they built the Salt Water cake with the fish tanks behind them.

This picture doesn't do the cake Justice.. :(

i figure a handgrenade or a pair of booster cables and your set no issue netting them any more

I agree i hate netting fish, so instead i normally get a small clean bucket and put in into the tank and try and coax the fish into there, then once in the bucket i pull everything out and have an almost stress free fish...
