You are doin' what I would do...keep monitoring from afar.
Do you have an alternative tank ready just in case?

No spare tank! i just sold my 250 the other week, trying to get my $ together so i can build or buy a 2.5' or 3' wide tank to move them all into. I couldn't resist the buy, my tank was looking so empty and now it looks nice and full. Everyone says that the addition makes my silver size and beauty stand out so much more.
Got a 9" Leichardti im hoping to grow out and see if he feels like living joining the group.
Anyone hiring?

it maybe working because they are packed in + the larger silver was in the tank 1st

if you upgrade all fish will be new to the new tank and you chould have war
