cheap HOB filters are your best friend when it comes to clearing cloudy water. Have a 20-30gal rated HOB filter on hand to run when you set up new aquariums. speeds the process up tremendously.

Ah ok, that would explain why im changing my filter pads every 2 days XD i use average grade then super fine as well with the filter pads. Yay for waiting games. thanks
Save money on pads, and go to Walmart buy a bag of pillow stuffing. If you don't have a Walmart in your area buy a bag of filter floss from your LFS it still will be cheaper than purchasing filter pads every other day. Once water starts to clear , then go back to the filter pads.
