Get a bigger tank.


You can find them cheap on sites like craigslist. Your fish will thank you. Very few fish can be kept in a 10 gallon their whole lives. I would suggest minimum a 20 gallon long to start, great beginner tank. Then upgrade to a 55 gallon, another good size.
 
Just wait. Pretty soon you'll be looking at those 10 gal tanks with the idea of turning them into w/d filters for larger tanks. I'm using a scratched up 300 gal as a w/d for my Tropheus systems.
