so I have a 150g tank with a pair of fx5's on it now and I wanna add a 3rd filter of some sort with sponges only to crystalize the water .... something large enough for my tank, and also something that is light when it is full unlike these damn fx5's lmao, something that isn't messy when unhooking the lines, quick and easy to clean/take apart and to start up ....does anyone have any recommendations, oh and the cheaper the better I don't wanna spend a crap load of money lol

I don't think a HOB has enough turn over rate for what I want ..... im after a big turn over rate as it gonna be all mech
but how big are they and how much sponge can be fitted in it without compromising anything....and also I can pick up something used around here likely too on the canister end of things I mean, if there better then a HOB

but what is the actual size of them ? to give me an idea of how much sponge and floss I can fit in it ?
so 10" long, and 4" deep, and 8" in height ? that's a fair size.... but what kinda gph is it turning over when stuffed with sponge, and filter floss ?media case is 10" x 4" x 8". here is a pic of mine with noodles on the 95g.
