What is the larger tank size? And the jag should be roughly 5-6 inches

The dimensions are 5 foot long, 17 inches wide, 20 inches deep. Not sure how many gallons or litres that is? My oscar isn't super aggressive but he is very greedy and has a big mouth.

I wouldn't worry bout the Oscar being aggressive, but the jag probably could kill it

You can add the jag but ideally you need a 6 foot tank long term. Jags as adults can easily over power and kill oscars their size or larger. Just observe and watch aggression

I think it could be done but I would add something to use as dithers to spread the jags aggression around.
Oscars are not really aggressive and can be pushed around a bit.
But I would also wait till the jag is 6 inches.
Maybe add a few male convicts as dithers.

My thinking was the jag wont be big enough to trouble the oscar for at least a year, maybe two? My oscar is bout 4 years old now he may not survive that long. He's healthy but not sure about there life span?
