Those fish are SMOKIN HOT, Mate!! Jag looks mainly female, but still a chance it could be male. Do you know how old it is? lol omg, that Yellowjacket is so sick
Not sure how old the jag is. Just know that is around 10-11 inches

Do you have any way of finding out?....or did u buy it big?
I asked and they are unsure on he age of the jaguar. They said it is 100% female and it has laid eggs before but has not had a male to fertilise them. From looking at the pictures the lack of a lot of small spots especially on the gill cover suggests female doesn't it? The yellowjacket is about 1.5 years old and they said was a female as well.

Ok then. What about the Jag you already have, mate?

Here are some pics of my jag. I am pretty sure it is a female. From the side profile it is quite football shaped and it doesn't have a lot of small spots all over the body and gill plate

Sorry not sure if my previous post notified you or anything as I didn't quote you
yea I don't get alerts even for my OWN threads. If you want to get someone's attention with out quoting them, type in an "@" symbol and attach their username to it, space before and after stiker stiker I always just quote somebody to keep me focused, I tend to forget what I'm relying to sometimes, especially when I'm drinking. lol I love those Synspilums, they look just like mine believe it or not.

Dude--

You need to take ALL those fish, put em wherever you can while you order another tank. Or 2 tanks. It takes years to grow fish like that.

Nobody can tell you how/if adult fish will work out in a tank. Can't be done. They may all get along fine together in the tank they're in now, and go nuts when you move em to a new tank at your house.

They may tolerate each other and hate every fish in your tank if you just take 1 or 2. They likely "get along" in a community but get nasty when new fish are added.

There's no way to know. All you can do is try and hope for the best.

Go to a bar at 10PM, predict who's gonna be fighting in the parking lot at 2AM. Same thing.
