So I have a chance to get a single frontosa male approximately 12 inches. Don't know if it would work in my 220 with the current stock.
My Zebrina pikes are 15 and 12 inches, distichodus atroventralisis 12 inches, azul bass are 10 and 12 inches, flagtail prochilodus is 10 inches, gold clown knife is 15 inches and the fire eel is 19 inches.

They do prefer groups. It should work fine. They are passive but also dont take crap from others either. Just keep an eye out for others of decent size to add.

I have kept frontosas off and on for six years. I have only kept them as groups in species only tanks. I do not know anything about the fish you have, but if you try it, keep an eye out. Make sure he is getting food and not being bullied.
