Right now my 3 arowanas are in the same tank. (So they're use to Yea other before I add them to the pond) and I also have a tiger shovelnose the arowanas are 1ft+ in length and the smallest is around 8-10in the tiger is around 6-8 in he can eat 2 in bala sharks. My question is if I pick up some discus at about 2-3 inch will the discus be fine? They're shapes shouldn't make them targeted by the catfish right?

they have huge mouth i wouldnt do it.
if you really want you could add some
bigger discus, that should be fine.

tsn will eat things you never would think they could I wouldn't put discus in with them if it cant eat it now it will before you know they grow so fast mine went from 4 to 5 " to over 22" in less than a year

Totally agree! I wouldn't put my little discus in with my tsn. Lemme put it to you this way, our tsn can eat a large piece of shrimp sideways with little to no issue if he's so inclined. I'm not saying your discus wouldn't be harder to catch and maneuver into his mouth than a piece of shrimp because of course they would. My point is that they would fit in his mouth so if he could catch 'em he could certainly eat 'em.

How well will a discus do with lets say 20-30 guppies in a 55 g? What if I put the tsn in the 55 till my pond is done will the discus be OK with the 3 arowanas?

Discus unlikely to make it for long. I will not try, the chances of survival rate is low

I think one needs to be an experienced discus keeper before attempting this. You would have better luck adding adult discus instead of juvies.

It's been my experience that you need to start out with discus, wait until they are mature adults, and then add a juvenile Aro. Your chances are better, but still not guaranteed.
