Adding liquid nutrients

I dont think it really matters.

In fact it does quite a bit. If your nutrient levels are too low during the morning, you will fight algae quite a bit. Your plants will not have their basic building blocks, and although there is light, they plants won't be growing very well. Also, dosing your nutrients when your lights are going to be out for a long period of time is not useful, as this will tax any animals you have. It is better to apply your ferts first thing in the morning, when your lights are just coming on, or will come on shortly. It is best to do a slow fertilizing drip system, which will supply proper amounts throughout the day.
