any tips for adding pbass to a tank that already has one pbass? can i just put them in? or do i need to do anything special with them. knowing they are territorial

One great way to lower aggression is rearranging decor/objects in the tank before adding the new fish. A fish that's comfortable in its surroundings will defend them more robustly. But if the "owner" of the tank is thrown off a bit, he doesn't really have solid ground to stand on to challenge a newcomer.

What are the size differences?

I have some 8" and 9" fellas that I need to add with a solo resident 17" pbass. Pretty nervous about it. At the moment, my best option seems to be 'get them up to 12, add them, and let them take their lumps'.

Will keep the advice about rearranging in mind, though.

thanks guys, ya i added them about 5 min. ago.. re arranged the tank, added a few plants for hiding spot... so far so good, they are about an inch smaller then my big bass. seen some aggression when the smaller bass get right up in its face, but no chasing or anything.. just did a good feeding first
