Adding pool sand to aquarium

The pool filter sand that I use can be poured right in and will barely cloud the water. After and hour you can't tell. Aquaquartz is really clean stuff.

thats good, but this leslies sand is almost dirtier than play sand, its basically small gravel silica mixed with dirt

I have bought silica sand from leslies before, rinsed it (pressure hose, dump water, repeat maybe 15 times) and it went in no cloud. Just be thorough and it shouldn't be a problem.
