Adding Silver with Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If it's a chance your willing to take try it out make sure you have another tank!! I had my jard with other fish for a couple of years doing very good showing no aggresion one day he snaped he is lucky he is still alive he killed my hystrix stingray and one od my blood Parrot's!! Good Luck that's all i have to say!!:D

Yeah, I understand what all of you are sayin.... its just you do not know for sure unless you try..... I hope things will work out.... and if they dont, well then I guess its a lesson learned. I wont be the first and sure will not be the last. I am sorta confused tho.... I mean the Silver gets bigger than a Jar but yet it gets its tail kicked..... you would think it would fight back:screwy:

yes... U are right about that. well, like I said.. soon as I see agression I will seperate. Maybe I will have 2 Aro Tanks :D Time will only tell

there is a chance of the Jar not beating the life out of the silver.
There is also a chance that if I'm standing in a full tub of water and drop a (plugged in) toaster into it that I wont get shocked.

If that's a risk you're willing to take, be ready to have a dead silver.

Most fish agression turns ugly when you aren around. with the power of a jardini it wont take long to knock a silver out of the equation.

ugghhh..... Maybe I should put a Divider into my tank then :irked: I am getting a 10x3x3 tank here within 3 months. but I dont want to have a half and half tank.......I always find a way to put myself into these situations :angryfire cause I do not want to come home to a dead fish, but then if it was to work and I divided them..... well, you get the idea! least I could have more than 1 Silver then, just MR. Jardini will be a loner.

I tried this awhile back. My jar did the samething. Arhing his back and a little nipping here and there. Then the silver started to lose scales from the more agressive attacks.
After awhile the silver would just stay motionless with his head facing the corner of the tank.
I then seperated them and threw in the towel on trying to have a jar-silver commuity tank.
I'll post some pics later tonite.

Red - it's not always about size. Some fish have simply got more "fight" in them than others :)

:iagree:

This was my jard named ED! & my Hystrix!:D
