I'm currently feeding Hikari Bio Gold and was wondering if any of you guys also feed Spirulina pellets as a supplement. Hikari doesn't seem to have any Spirulina in it.

I feed my fronts and emperors Dainichi XL PRO as a staple for spirulina and Massivore as their main course.

I put spiriluna flake in all my food mixes.

To clarify, I buy different types of flake, including earthworm, krill, etc, and mix them for appropriate tanks. I have a NW cichlid mix, tropical, Malawi, and goldfish.

The other species get "species-specific pellets"

I also feed thawed frozen food every other day to my carnivores/omnivores.

I used Hikari Cichlid Excel, very good food, but can be pricey and hard to obtain.
Another good spirulina flake is NutraFin Max - Spirulina Flake.

I also used NLS but wasn't as impressed as the hype made it seem.

My fav food at the moment is Ocean Nutrition Pellets (Formula I, Formula II, Cichlid Omni, Cichlid veggie). All 4 types of pellets contain high amounts of spirulina algae. My cichlids are far more excited to get this food than NLS.

Best part, pricing is about the same as Excel (Ocean Nutrition is superior to Excel); and half the price as NLS.

Good Luck
